“Recon stairlifts”, or reconditioned stairlifts are stairlifts which have been professionally refurbished to a high standard. Our reconditioned stairlifts are chosen carefully and thoroughly reconditioned by our team of engineers. We always give recon stairlifts brand new batteries and thorough testing. When they have undergone refurbishment we give them a full 2 year warranty which means you’re covered for parts, call-outs and labour for a full 2 years.
We also choose only the best makes and models for our reconditioned range. We also choose those with plenty of life left in them, which are in great condition. Certain makes we don’t use, particularly those known for common breakdowns longer term issues. The models we choose for recon stairlifts are typically top of the range makes such as Stannah and ThyssenKrupp//AccessBDD. We choose these models because they are super reliable and will give you the fewest problems.
Recon Stairlifts – Quality and Value For Money
We think our reconditioned stairlifts offer the best value for money when choosing a stairlift. Not only do you receive a top of the range model, but you get it for a considerable discount when compared to buying brand new. Have a look at the price comparison for our recon models compared to brand new prices below:

We always recommend buying a recon stairlift from a reputable supplier who will fit it and maintain it too, if needs be. Our 2 year warranty means we will make sure your lift keeps working in tip top condition. Should there be any issues, we are on hand to sort it quickly too. We cover the whole of the UK and are on hand for your peace of mind.
Recon Stairlifts – Models & Prices
Recon stairlifts will vary in cost depending on your needs and requirements. We typically will offer the best model for you, according to your budget and needs. Here’s a standard installation of a Stannah 600 – a straight stairlift. Straight stairlifts are usually cheaper than curved ones because they don’t require so much customisation. Straight rails can be used off the shelf, rather than customised according to your specific staircase.

This stairlift is a Stannah 600 and was £1,550 including installation and warranty. You can read more about this particular fitting in the case study we did of a straight stairlift on a curved stairs. While this isn’t always the best option, due to safety reasons, on this occasion we helped a customer save money on a stairlift with this configuration.
Here’s a curved stairlift we installed on a staircase with a bend in it. Generally a curved stairlift will be more expensive, according to your needs and staircase configuration. This one was a recon Stannah 260 and the rail had two bends in it, one at the top and one at the base. It was £3,850 including installation and warranty.

Recon Stairlifts – For Very Narrow/Awkward Stairs
In certain cases we will use a more specific stairlift – which is more suitable for very narrow installations. These models are generally more expensive than other recon stairlifts, so we tend to recommend them only when necessary and if other models won’t fit.
This one is the Flow X stairlift which has a patented technology called the ASL. The Advanced Swivel and Levelling tech allows it to manoeuvre on very tight staircases and avoid obstacles which would otherwise make a stairlift installation impossible. This installation was a recon Flow 2a installation and was £4,650 including installation and warranty for 2 years.

Here’s another awkward fitting which needed a very slim stairlift. Here we used the Flow X stairlift because the staircase was so narrow. No other stairlift would fit on this one and when we arrived on the scene the client was struggling with another stairlift which was too big. You can read the case study on this one here.
