Second Hand Stairlift Prices – Examples
Our reconditioned stairlifts prices start at £1,250 for straight stairlifts and £2,950 for curved stairlifts. Stairlift cost depends on a number of factors including whether your staircase is straight or curved, staircase length, stairlift specifications and number/type of bends in the rail. Some stairs will require a specialist stairlift for very narrow stairs which adds to the cost.

Standard Straight Stairlift Cost
A straight stairlift is generally cheaper because it doesn’t require a customised rail. Here’s a couple of straight stairlift examples with their prices. All prices include installation and 2 year warranty.
This one was a basic straight stairlift and was £1,550. The Stannah 600 stairlift is a great mobility solution and has one of the best reputations for reliability. Here’s another Stannah 600 on a straight stairlift. This was also £1,550.
Second Hand Stairlift Prices – Curved Reconditioned Prices
Reconditioned stairlifts that are curved are generally higher cost than straights due to the need for a customised rail. The rail is made specifically for your staircase to exact measurements. Here’s a couple of example prices for curved stairlifts we have installed in the UK.
This stairlift was £3,850 fully installed with a 2 year warranty. This rail system had a bottom 180 degree internal parking wrap and a 90 degree internal incline bend at the top. Generally speaking the more complex a stairlift rail is, the more it will cost.
Here’s another one we installed on a curved staircase. This was a very narrow staircase with an awkward bannister rail. This meant that a specialist stairlift for narrow stairs was needed, which added to the cost. This installation was £4,250. We were able to keep the lower hand rail in place for other household users who didn’t use the stairlift. Due to the width issue around the bend, we required a Flow 2a stairlift for this fitting.
