Wondering what to do with an old stairlift you no longer need? Well your “old” stairlift might be worth something to us here at UK Stairlifts. We buy second hand (used) stairlifts and professionally refurbish them to help people with their mobility!

In particular we look for these models:

  • Stannah 600 – for straight stairs
  • Stannah 260 – for curved stairs
  • Thyssen Krupp Flow X and Flow 2 a – models for narrow stairs

What To Do With An Old Stairlift You No Longer Need? Why These Models?

We particularly choose these models because of their robust build. In short, they outlast other models and make perfect stairlifts for professional refurbishment. We also buy other makes and models so don’t worry if you don’t have one of these particular stairlifts.

We may still be able to remove your stairlift for free (if we can use the parts), or for a small fee if we can’t!

How Much Will My Old Stairlift Fetch?

The price we pay for stairlifts will depend on make, model and condition. We don’t take all stairlifts and if you have an Acorn or a Handicare model, we will charge a fee for removal.

For the models we want (Stannah and Thyssen) we will generally pay between £100 and £400 depending on the model and condition. The upper range of payment are the newer model Thyssen’s. That is the Flow X in good condition.

Certain makes and models we cannot offer to pay for. That’s because we don’t use them in our reconditioned stairlifts range. It also costs us to dispose of them. So this is why we might charge for our removal service.
