We don’t recommend skimping on quality when looking for cheap stairlifts because it can cost you later in terms of repairs and malfunctions. However we can recommend certain reconditioned stairlifts which offer a cheaper solution.
Our reconditioned stairlifts are some of the most popular stairlifts we sell. That’s because we only choose the highest quality units to recondition. We always offer a platinum guarantee on our reconditioned stairlifts so you know they are going to last.
Whether you require a straight or a curved stairlift, all of our reconditioned stairlifts come with the same quality assurance. All are stripped down, cleaned and rebuilt to the highest standards in our factory.
They will always be tested rigorously by our team of engineers. Like our new stairlifts, every reconditioned stairlift comes with a full PLATINUM GUARANTEE. All parts, labour and call out charges are covered for 2 years so you can have total peace of mind.
Cheap Stairlifts – Affordable Stairlifts
We like to think of our stairlifts as more affordable rather than as “cheap” stairlifts! Reconditioned models are often much cheaper than a brand new stairlift. Still, they must be held to a high standard in order to qualify for our 2 year warrantee. But a reconditioned stairlift can save you quite a lot compared to a brand new one.
So, if you’re on a budget take a look at our stairlift prices which range from £990 for a straight stairlift.
So, which stairlifts are more expensive and why?
Cheapest Stairlifts – Which Stairlifts Are The Cheapest?
The cheapest stairlifts are straight stairlifts. There’s a couple of reasons for this. A straight stairlift is often the easiest to fit. Depending on your staircase, a straight stairlift can be fitted in only a couple of hours.
Modular stairlifts allow for greater ease of installation and can be built quickly according to your measurements as they are pre-fabricated.
The stairlift too, on a straight rail has less complexity. It is designed to go up and down with a much simpler mechanism than a curved stairlift. With a curved stairlift, there’s a greater range of movement because the chair must be able to turn – often in tight corners.
Cheap Stairlifts – Low Cost Stairlifts
With a curved stairlift, the rail needs a greater amount of customisation in order to fit your particular staircase. The more complexity, the greater the cost. So if you’ve got a straight single staircase, with no twists or turns, it’s easier to find a cheaper, low cost stairlift.
With a curved staircase, and multiple floors, you’re going to be looking at a greater cost due to the more complex customisation of your rail and fitting costs.
Still, with a reconditioned stairlifts the savings are considerable, whether you need a straight stairlift or a curved stairlift.

Budget Stairlifts
So, if you’re on a tight budget, give our friendly staff a call and enquire about our reconditioned stairlifts. If you’re on a budget, you may be able to shave a portion off the price of a brand new stairlift if you purchase a second hand stairlift which has been refurbished.
As mentioned already, we don’t skimp on quality. But we like to offer the best value stairlifts at the best price. Before we recondition a stairlift it must hold up to high standards already. It’s completely stripped down, cleaned and rebuilt to the highest standards in our factory.
We stand by our products and service and offer a 2 year platinum guarantee on all our reconditioned stairlifts.
So although you might find a budget stairlift with UK Stairlifts, you can rest assured that it won’t let you down!
