This particular fitting threw up a curve ball, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before in our 20 years in the industry. On this house there was an extension over the driveway which meant we couldn’t fit an outside rail which is usually the configuration.
As you can see in the picture below, the doorway to the spare room meant we had to do an internal rail configuration which followed the handrail around the corner.

We chose the Stannah 260 reconditioned stairlift for this particular installation. However, with such a fitting the measurements must be precise. The Stannah rail legs are wielded onto the rail so we had to let the manufacturers know very precisely where the stairs were in relation to the newel posts.
A Stannah reconditioned stairlift is a great choice when it comes to affordability and quality assurance. Particularly in a difficult or awkward fitting such as this one.
