If you’re selling a stairlift you might be wondering how long stairlift removal takes? The removal itself can be done in a few hours. But it can normally take a longer amount of time to book a slot in the diary for your removal. This will depend on a few factors.
But firstly give us a call on 0800 046 3438 and see if we can use your stairlift.
We don’t buy every stairlift and focus on a few makes and models which we can re-use for our reconditioned stairlifts range. Our preferred models are Stannah 600, Stannah 260 and Thyssen-Krupp Flow X and Flow 2a. But if you don’t have one of these models, don’t worry. We might still be able to help you.

How Long Does Stairlift Removal Take?
If your stairlift can be either used for reconditioning or parts, we can offer to pay you for your stairlift, or remove it for free, depending on its worth.
If we can’t use your stairlift in any way, we will charge a fee for its removal, or refer you to another specialist.
Booking a removal date is simple. First get a quote and if agreed upon we will book a slot for removal in the diary. This time will usually depend on our availability and where you are in the UK. For more urgent stairlifts, we will aim to get out to you as quickly as possible.
Usually we can book in a removal within a week or so, sometimes within a few days.
How Long To Remove My Stairlift – Urgent Models Needed
When stocks are running low, as is sometimes the case, we might need a particular type of stairlift urgently and so we will tend to collect these models first, due to demand for them.
For example, we are particularly on the lookout for the Flow 2a and Flow X stairlift models, pictured below:

If you have one of these models we can collect fairly quickly – usually within a few days, depending on your location.
We also use Stannah stairlifts within our reconditioned stairlift range and so are often on the lookout for these models also. The Stannah 600 and the Stannah 260 pictured below:

Summary
So, how long does stairlift removal take? Not long when you know what you’re doing! In fact our engineers can usually remove a stairlift within an hour or so. When you don’t know what you’re doing, it will take much longer so we definitely recommend getting an engineer to do this!
