Looking for the best value stair lifts? The best value stair lifts offer quality and affordability and we think we have found the perfect balance with our reconditioned stairlifts. A reconditioned stairlift is one which has been professionally refurbished. It’s a stairlift which has already had some use but still has years of life left in it.
We only choose the very best makes and models for our reconditioned range because we value quality stairlifts. We have been in the stairlift business for over 20 years and we know which stairlifts last, and give us the fewest problems! That’s why we choose them! In this post we are going to dive a little deeper into this topic!
Best Value Stair Lifts – Which Are They?
We like Stannah because they are a high quality lift and with our reconditioned units you can make massive savings. We will generally choose this make (if it will fit your staircase), because of it’s long-lasting parts and useful design features.
Stannah stairlifts have more powerful motors which will even outlast newer models of cheaper makes. Their parts too will last longer and give us (and our customers) fewer problems over the longer term. So you can rest assured that when you buy a reconditioned model from us, you’re getting a top quality machine.

We thoroughly refurbish our machines before we use them too. This means they are stripped down and any problem parts are replaced for brand new ones. New batteries are always fitted and we give the stairlifts our seal of approval. All our reconditioned stairlifts are given a full 2 year no-exclusion warranty – covering you for parts, labour and call-outs.
This is how you know you’re in good hands! We have built up a reputation over the last 20 years of looking after our customers.

Best Value Stair Lifts – For Very Narrow Stairs
9 times out of 10 Stannah’s are our go-to machines when it comes to using a stairlift which offers high quality at an affordable price. Check out our prices and get a quick overview of what you can save on our reconditioned stairlift prices page. Here’s a quick snapshot:
| Stairlift Type | New Stairlift (from) | Reconditioned Stairlift (from) | Typical Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Straight | £2,200 | £1,250 | ~£950 |
| Curved | £4,500 | £2,950 | ~£1,550 |
Prices are starting costs and may vary depending on features, installation, and customisation. See our full price guide for details.
In certain cases a Stannah simply won’t fit a staircase and in these circumstances we will choose a more specialist stairlift – usually this is a Thyssen Flow stairlift. Again, we choose a stairlift with superb build quality which will last. We avoid cheaper makes because we know certain models will give us more trouble later. As the saying goes, buy cheap buy twice! But with our reconditioned stairlifts, you can rest assured you’re not going to be buying twice, plus you get a huge discount compared to a brand new stairlift.

When it comes to stairlifts for narrow stairs, certain makes/models simply won’t fit. So we will use a Flow X or a Flow 2a – the Flow X’s predecessor. When available, we can also offer these models as reconditioned units, saving you a hefty sum when we can!
Summary
We think we know the stairlift industry pretty well, after working in this industry for over 20 years now. So we are able to draw on our experience to know which are the best value stair lifts.
We think we have got it right and we will generally recommend a Stannah stairlift to our customers. These are super high quality and by using a previously used model, which has been professionally refurbished, you can save heaps on the price!

But you also know you’re getting a quality machine that won’t let you down (unless you’re trying to get down the stairs of course! Ha Ha!).
Our 2 year warranty on our reconditioned stairlifts give you huge peace of mind. You’re covered for parts, labour and call-outs for a full 2 years. The no-exclusion warranty also covers the battery, which some exclude from their guarantee – but we don’t! We want our customers to be happy because that’s how we’ve built our business over the last 20 years!
