Stair Lift Guide – Most Common Questions
We took all of the most common questions we get asked and answered them all in this pdf e-book! The most important factor when choosing a stairlift is of course to pick a stairlift which is suitable for your staircase. Typically this is a simple choice based on either a straight staircase or a curved one. So if there’s any corners in your staircase, you’ll need a stairlift which can cope with them – a curved stairlift.
Occasionally there’s a spiral staircase which crops up for us, although not very often! Or, there’s a staircase which is very narrow. In this case we will recommend a stairlift which caters to difficult or awkward staircases – such as the Flow 2 stairlift from Thyssen.
The next question is the one of cost. Stairlift prices vary according to your staircase configuration, and we have included the range of prices in our stairlift buyers guide ebook. The cheapest stairlift fitting is a straight one. Straight stairlifts are the simplest to fit and the chair is a much simpler one.
Once you have chosen whether you need a straight or a curved stairlift, you might decide to choose a reconditioned stairlift, which can give you large savings if you’re on a budget.
